Our senior management team

Mrs Spitz is AIHA’s Chief Executive and joined the organisation in September 2021. She has an MBA from the Open University, where she won the Derek Pugh Award for Outstanding Performance. Before moving to AIHA she was Chief Executive at the Interlink Foundation, the membership body for Orthodox Jewish community organisations, where she worked for 25 years. She has wide ranging experience of developing community services, including new build capital projects, strategic planning and organisation transformation. She has brought to AIHA her strength in organisation leadership, and her community and public sector knowledge and networks. She was awarded an OBE in 2018 for services to the British Jewish community.

Ms Basalian joined AIHA in 2008 and has fulfilled various roles within Schonfeld Square Homes and supported housing over the last 12 years. She was appointed as Director of Care Services in 2021, with responsibility for all care and supported housing schemes.

Mr Tescher joined AIHA in the early 90s when the organisation had fewer than 50 units. He has been in senior leadership at AIHA for over 25 years and was instrumental in its growth to an organisation with over 900 units. He has wide ranging management responsibilities in both general needs and supported housing.

Errol is a qualified chartered accountant with 13 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer.  He has worked with organisational leaders to deliver strategic initiatives, implement strategic change, transform finance teams, and manage teams of professionals.

He has a proven track record in the Education, Customer Services, Fintech, and Insurance market sectors. Moreover, he has consistently demonstrated success in areas such as business strategy, finance department development, budgeting, forecasting, and meeting business requirements to facilitate growth imperatives and business improvement. Additionally, he has successfully led and participated in several acquisition and turnaround projects.

Malcolm joined AIHA in March 2024 and is a qualified Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience within building management and project delivery. Prior to joining AIHA, he was Technical Services Director for one of the UK’s largest Property Management companies. As a passionate engineer, he is keen to implement technology to enhance the resident experience through the services delivered.
